General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)

As you may be aware, a new privacy law is coming soon to replace the existing European Data Protection Directive of 1995. This European Union law is called the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and it will come into effect from 25th May 2018. The premise of EU GDPR is very similar to the new privacy law also being introduced on this date in Jersey, although it will be called Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 instead.

Advisa Financial Services Limited would like to inform you that we are fully compliant with these laws and are GDPR ready.

We would like to assure you that we will not be changing the way that we use the personal data we collect from you. Whilst we will continue to manage all data responsibly and in a secure manner, we have reviewed and updated our Privacy Policy and our approach to data processing.

The new Privacy Policy informs you of additional details such as how, where and why we will use your personal information. It also provides you with information regarding:

  • Your increased rights, in relation to the information we hold about you
  • How we ensure security and safety of your information
  • The types of information we collect and how and why we use it
  • The legal basis for how we use and process your personal information

The new Privacy Policy will be effective from 25th May and will ensure that we continue to comply with privacy legislation. We will make you aware if we need to make any changes or updates to our Privacy Policy in the future.
